Terms of Use

These terms govern your use of Свої (Svoyi). By using the site you accept them. Свої is a non-profit project run by Yehor Hromov (Ludwigsburg, Germany); the full imprint and the privacy policy are linked in the footer.

What Свої is

Свої is a free directory that helps people find Ukrainian-speaking specialists abroad, read reviews and request appointments online. It also gives specialists a profile and booking tools. Свої is not a party to any agreement between a client and a specialist and does not itself provide the specialists' services.

Who may use it

You may browse Свої freely. To create a specialist profile you must be a specialist or business that lawfully provides its services in its country and can enter into a contract. You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for everything done through your account.

Specialist profiles

You are responsible for the accuracy of everything you publish on your profile. A new profile is reviewed before it goes live and may be declined or unpublished if it breaks these terms. You keep all rights to your content and grant Свої a non-exclusive licence to display it on the platform for as long as your profile exists.

Bookings

A booking made through Свої is a request to a specialist, which the specialist then confirms or declines. Any service contract, price and payment are agreed directly between you and the specialist. Свої takes no commission and is not responsible for the service, its quality or any payment.

Reviews

A review is accepted only from a client with a confirmed booking made through Свої: before publication we match it against that booking, so there are no walk-in reviews here. A provider may reply publicly but cannot buy, edit or delete a review. Authors may edit their own review for a limited time. If a provider believes a review is untrue, they file a complaint; we notify the author, allow seven days for a response, and then decide, informing both sides. Reviews on demonstration profiles are samples and marked as such.

Regulated professions

For work that requires a licence, permit or chamber membership — medicine, psychotherapy, legal services, sworn translation, accountancy, childcare and the like — you warrant that you hold the right to practise in the country where you provide the service, and you must tell us if that right ends. Свої does not verify diplomas, qualifications or chamber membership, and does not endorse your professional competence: we carry out no checks of permits, diplomas or licences whatsoever. Such categories are opened gradually; while a category is closed, no profile can be created in it.

Data processing on your behalf

When a client books you through Свої, we process their data (name, contact, time and service) on your behalf: for that data you are the controller and Свої is a processor within the meaning of Art. 28 GDPR. We process it only on your instructions and to operate the booking function, bind everyone with access to confidentiality, apply technical and organisational safeguards, engage no sub-processors without informing you, assist you with data-subject requests and breach notifications, and delete that data once your profile is closed. The data is held on servers within the European Union. These terms serve as the data-processing agreement; a separate written contract is available on request.

What you must not do

Do not use Свої to defraud or impersonate others, to publish illegal, misleading or unsafe content, to send spam, to scrape or overload the service, or to break any applicable law. We may remove content or suspend accounts that do.

Content and liability for it

Specialists create their own profiles. For third-party content Свої is liable only under the general laws (§ 7(1) DDG) and is not obliged to monitor the information it stores (§§ 8 to 10 DDG). We remove unlawful content promptly once we become aware of it. Anything can be reported through the report page linked in the footer.

Transparency

Any paid placement, should it ever be introduced, is labelled as advertising everywhere it appears. The criteria that determine the order of results are published openly, and moderation decisions come with a plain explanation and can be appealed.

No warranty

Свої is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that a specialist is suitable, available or qualified beyond what a displayed verification badge explicitly states, nor that using the service will produce any particular result.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Свої is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for the acts, omissions, services or content of specialists or other users. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for intent, gross negligence, or injury to life, body or health; your mandatory statutory rights remain unaffected.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service grows. The new version is posted here with its effective date, and continuing to use Свої after a change means you accept it.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of the Federal Republic of Germany, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence in the EU.
