How accurate is it?
It uses the official tax tariff and contribution rates. The result is close to reality but depends on your health insurer and individual data.
What are the tax classes?
Your tax class (Steuerklasse) sets how much income tax is withheld monthly. It depends on marital status and second jobs.
Is my data stored?
No. The calculation runs in your browser; salary data is never transmitted or stored.
Why is my net lower than expected?
Gross pay is reduced by income tax, the solidarity surcharge, optional church tax and four social contributions (pension, unemployment, health, care).
